It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Trimble Library will no longer be able to provide curbside services starting Thursday March 26th at 6:00 p.m. due to the current public health crisis.  The library will re-open when the CDC and state government officials determine it is safe to resume in-person services.

While the library is closed, staff will answering the phone and emails Monday through Friday from 9-5 to help people sign up for cards to use digital services.  Staff will also be planning programs and services, maintaining social media, completing online trainings and cleaning up catalog records. Great efforts are also being made to ensure items that are returned to the library are clean and safe for customers to handle and that the library is cleaned thoroughly once the library is open.

Our staff misses our customers and are anxious to get back to serving our community!  In the meantime, we are praying for our community to be healthy and work together during this time.  Please comply with the Healthy At Home initiative Governor Beshear is recommending.  We want to continue to our serve our community during this time.  Please let us know if we can help in anyway.

Returning Library Materials
Book drops are available at the main library branch and at the Milton City Building

10179 Hwy 421 N. Milton

Will I be charged for late items?
The library will waive all late fees until the end of April.

What digital services are available?
OVERDRIVE- ebooks, audiobooks and magazines
HOOPLA - ebooks, audiobooks, music and videos (limit 6 per month)
DUO LINGO - Learn a Foreign Language
ANCESTRY.COM - Family History - Call the library for the password to login at home
KYVL - Kentucky Virtual Library- Encyclopedias, academic journals, Learning Express, etc.
NOTE: Many of our digital services require a library card.  Go to the following link to get a LIBRARY CARD.  It may take the system to update your information before you can check out digital services. If you have trouble getting a library card online, please call the library.

Will staff be able to make copies and do faxes?
Unfortunately the library is unable to continue this service.  Many businesses will accept scanned documents sent to an email for business purposes.  There are many free APPS available for cells phones that will allow you to scan documents to a PDF and then email them to a business.  GENIUS SCAN is an example of an APP that has scanning and emailing capabilities.

UPDATE 3/13/2020

LIBRARY HOURS
EFFECTIVE MARCH 16th - March 31st
Mondays - Thursdays 11:00 - 6:00 p.m.
Friday 11:00 - 5:00 p.m.
Saturdays - CLOSED

All late fees will be waived during this time period.

All library programs will be cancelled between March 16th and March 31st in response to information published by the CDC.  All organizations that use the library to hold meetings will be asked to cancel their meetings as well.

Our primary concern is the safety of our patrons and staff.
  • We are doing more cleaning in our buildings.
  • We have ordered additional supplies of disinfectant wipes and hand sanitizer.
  • We are expecting staff to frequently clean all public services desks.
  • Staff are being encouraged to wash their hands frequently throughout the day.
  • It is impossible to clean all returned materials. However, it has always been the Library’s procedure to clean or discard soiled returned items.
  • We are monitoring the websites of the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the Northern Kentucky Health Departments.
  • Staff who are sick or who are exhibiting symptoms (including, but not limited to fever) are asked to stay home.

Will the library continue outreach deliveries and activities?
  • Our deliveries to home bound patrons who are not in long-term care facilities will continue as usual if they wish to receive visits during this time.
Will you still be accepting donations?
  • The library will not accept donations until further notice.
What services will be available should the library close?
  • Bookdrops will continue to be monitored.
  • Wi-Fi is available 24/7 at the library in Bedford.
  • Wi-Fi is available from 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the municipal building in Milton.
