Do you like cooking? Neither do I! To enjoy playing this game, you do not have to know how to cook or enjoy cooking in real life. It is a cooking simulation game, though. You pick between various characters, and the game will send you on a cooking spree! This is a couch co-op game, meaning you can play it with siblings, friends, or family that are in the same room as you. Or you can play it online with three other friends. Each level has you making a different type of food, in a different kitchen, under a different time limit. You heard that right, you will be timed, so you must complete orders given to you as quickly as possible! The thing that makes this game so fun is that each kitchen has different hazards and obstacles you must avoid and maneuver to succeed. These are two separate games but they can be played individually, in any order. They are both very similar as well, just with different levels to complete. I highly advise watching the trailer linked below. These games are extremely fun to play with others! Rating: E Console: Switch, Playstation 4, XboxOne Price: 2 in 1 case for Switch: approximately $40 2 in 1 case for PS4: approximately $20 2 in 1 case for Xbox One: approximately $20 Photo from nintendo.com Luigi’s Mansion 3 is the third game in the Luigi’s Mansion series, after Luigi’s Mansion for the Gamecube and Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon for the 3DS. You do not need to have played the previous games to play this one. In this game, Luigi, Mario, Princess Peach, and a few toads get suspiciously invited to go to a super fancy high-rise hotel. Once they get there, things start to go every which way but right. It is an action-adventure game where you play as Luigi, and can transform into Gooigi, which you can use to your advantage while solving some different puzzles and try to find your friends that went missing. The main point of this game is that this hotel ends up being a haunted hotel, and you must capture the ghosts that get in your way on your trek to the top of the building to save your friends. Price: $59.99 Rating: E Console: Nintendo Switch In game screenshot from playstation.com Jurassic World Evolution is a business simulation game that was released in 2018. In the game, you build and create your own dinosaur theme park. This game is like a mix between Roller Coaster Tycoon and Thrillville, with added dinosaurs and science aspects. In the game, you have five islands to build on and make your own. To progress through the game, you must complete missions and make each island a five-star island before moving on to the next island. On each island, you will get missions in entertainment, science, and security for the park. For example, a security mission may be to upgrade a fence before you add a certain type of dinosaur to the pen, so it doesn’t break out. And yes, the dinosaurs can break through fences and kill your guests… Which then gives you many bad reviews for your theme park, which you do not want if you’re trying to make it a five-star park. Another big aspect of the game is science. You must build fossil centers and expedition centers on each island. The expedition centers are where you can send out paleontologists to dig for fossils and retrieve new dinosaur DNA. You can then use that DNA at the fossil centers to hatch new dinosaurs for your park. You can mess around with the DNA and change the traits and colors of new dinosaurs you unlock. Price: $29.99 Rating: T Console: Playstation 4 & Xbox One Photo from Nintendo.com Snipperclips is an action puzzle game. It is super heavy on the puzzles! Each level is a new puzzle you and up to three friends work together to solve. You each play as a small piece of paper. You will cut each other up into the right shapes to complete each level. You may need to pop a balloon. You cannot do that with your default shape. Your teammate will have to cut your character into a needle shape to pop the balloon. Use your imagination and work together to solve each puzzle! To cut your teammate, you do not use scissors. Remember, this is a video game and somethings just do not make logical sense. Instead of scissors, you use your characters body. You stand near each other and overlap your bodies in the place you want to cut out your teammate. It is very hard to explain and makes more sense if you see it happen. Watch the gameplay trailer below to get more of an idea of how the game works! Price: $20-$30 Rating: E Multiplayer: Up to 4 players Console: Nintendo Switch |
