We are so excited about The Great American Eclipse that will take place on August 21! The library was fortunate to receive 1000 pairs of eclipse glasses from STARNet - check out their website for awesome eclipse resources here.
The eclipse will take place during school hours, so we will be providing glasses for all BES and MES students. To the best of our knowledge, the school district will be providing glasses for TCMS and TCHS students. Next Monday, August 14 the remaining glasses will be made available to the public at the library on a first come, first served basis - no wait lists or signups. Additionally, there will be a two glasses per person limit. We hope to help as many people enjoy the eclipse safely as possible!
Also, on Saturday, August 19 from 2-4PM the library will be hosting a special teen eclipse party. Teens will get to participate in a drone demonstration, make slime, galaxy art, and more! Please call the library at (502) 255-7362 to register for this event in advance!
